Distribution of Trust- Meaning of ‘Representatives’A testator, who used the word “ representatives” in a trust established by his wills and codicils, intended the term to mean statutory distributes and thus to include the adopted daughter of his grandson as an individual entitled to proceeds from the trust, concludes the Supreme Judicial Court. Real Property- AdemptionA grandmother’s devise of land to a granddaughter was not adeemed and the granddaughter may thus recover the proceeds of a sale of the property, where the grandmother, after making her will, agreed to sell the property to third parties but died before the land sale transaction finally closed , says the Appeals Court. |
